Yoga for complex health conditions
Yoga made safe and easy
We offer small, specialised yoga classes for people with complex health concerns, such as chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), fibromyalgia, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) and hypermobility.
Our classes are open to clients and non-clients. If you are not a client of the clinic you will need an assessment before joining in, to make sure our yoga classes are safe for you. Please contact us for more details.
Our yoga classes provide a supportive social environment, which is actually the most therapeutic aspect of the class. That and savasana (corpse pose), maybe! Build confidence in your ability to attend and participate in a yoga class, by joining one at Active Health Clinic then progressing to a community class.
Greer Campbell is passionate about the use of yoga as part of treatment. As an exercise physiologist and Level 2 trained yoga teacher, Greer’s classes are safe, restorative and confidence-building for beginners and those wishing to return to a yoga practice. Greer believes yoga philosophy blends perfectly with the science of pain and fatigue management. Greer's yoga classes also reinforce pacing strategies and find the balance between effort and ease to help you get the most out of your body.
Greer says: "Being anxiety-prone, I was drawn to yoga from a young age. I’ve been practising yoga now for over 2 decades! I enjoy the sense of peace that’s accessible through yoga and I love bringing this to others. I continue my own yoga practice to support how I want to feel and how I want to be in the world."
